WE'VE DONE GREAT THINGS TOGETHER

The financial health of the local has never been better, we have increased our assets by over 50% in the last 3 years!

Our membership is higher than it has ever been, 300 more than 3 years ago, nearly 1100 members!

We added a full time Organizer that is 100% funded by our International  Association.  This is nearly $120,000 of your dues that we were able to bring back to your local to better serve you.  This has been a goal of mine from nearly day 1, and It makes me so happy that we achieved this together.

Have you been to the Hall lately?  Things that were in disrepair for years have been fixed or replaced.  The old wallpaper has all been torn down and the whole place repainted.  Half of the lighting was not functioning, I have repaired it all.  The roof had been leaking for years, it does not anymore.  New carpet and repaving the parking lot are happening this year.

I have lead negotiations on 3 contracts.  With the help of our amazing committee members we were able to get great gains in language and financials. Each contract was passed on the first vote.  There is still a lot of work to do on these, the experience and knowledge I have gained will prove to be valuable the next time we negotiate.

We added another contract and facility at Daikin Faribault, North.  There are over 120 Members working there now and many more coming in the future,  I am excited to continue the work and make this an even better place to work.

I have made sure that you are being represented at the International level as well.  I have been appointed to 2 standing committees as well as the production committee at the Constitutional Convention.  I am also elected to be a trustee for the Production Council. I have been a guest on the "talking SMART" podcast.  We even had the General President come to our Local for the first time.

Remember when Daikin sent out checks for back pay for overtime?  That didn't happen by itself!  A tip from a long time member got it started and cooperation with the Department of labor brought it all together.
